Plastic Bags Or Just A Man Purse?
I’ve never been a believer that the man-purse could ever become popular, but hey…. If we read it on the internet, it must be true, right?
At least in Canada. According to a recent post in the Vancouver Island Times Colonist, the fathers of Calgary are starting to get behind “Diaper bags for dudes” as a means for holding items such as a wallet, cellphone, keys, diapers, wipes, snacks, and toys.
The article quoted one Calgary Dad, Derek Bechthold, who said “”I call it my bastion of solace. Everything in it has some sort of function to bring peace and tranquillity to the kids,”
As a parent who has had to carry around diapers, bottles, and other baby-related items for a day trip to the park, I can tell you, plastic bags work just fine. So if you’re worried about a “man bag” hurting your standing as a manly-man amongst the guy community, than rest assured that plastic bags can do the trick.
That being said, as much as it pains me to admit it…. These brown leather satchel’s do sound shockingly easy and convenient. I may have to pick one up.
I just won’t tell anyone about it.
