Cat Lovers = Plastic Bag Lovers
Well, we talked pups last week, so this week it’s feline time. Cat owners are just as benefited by plastic bags as dog owners, and for very similar reasons!
Oh, kitty litter, how we loathe thee, how we need thee! The best cat care includes cleaning out the litter box a minimum of once a day. Much better to clean it out once in the morning and once in the evening!
And what do we use to clean out the kitty litter? Well, in addition to the handy slotted cat litter scoop, in many households, the winner is plastic bags.
When I see a customer (or ahem, am that customer) at the grocery store buying all organic items and then asking for plastic bags, rather than looking down my nose at her (me), I straightaway know: girl’s got a pet. Hard to say if it’s a cat or dog just from the choice of plastic over paper, but you know that compassion and pet care are the cause of the choice, one way or the other.
Plastic bags trap the smell of litter better than paper, and are smaller, easier to dispose of. Some smarties even line the pan with a plastic liner, and then there’s no scooping required.
Bonus tip for other cat lovers who don’t love litter: burn a little incense right there in the box!
